Curing and drying of plates for lead acid batteries can be managed to become tetra basic or tri basic lead sulfate depending on the process parameters. In the following a short overview of the possibilities are outlined. We will consult to adopt the best curing process on request.     Remark: In case of reactive ball mill oxide a fast and complete nucleation is achieved by applying steam for about 1 h. In traditional batch curing chambers a dry out of the paste during the curing (nucleation phase) often takes place. The result will be small tri basic crystals coming along with loss on porosity.
